Beth (Ducky) wrote: "hi Laura, I put it hand 10 card 9 because that was the next open 2, 3, or 9"perfect.. I didn't have the spreadsheet open so didn't know what hand it would fit, just knew the cards it would fit.
Experiencing a major storm here. Drifts are massive. There was snow up to my knees.. I know I'm not very tall.. but still!! I'm pooped from shovelling snow. My friend is going to come over and thankfully plow me out. Hopefully there won't be too much tomorrow and I 'll get to work! ( we are still expected to get another 5-10 cm tonight)
Laura, stay warm! We are just seeing clear roads here for the first time in weeks, so I feel for you!I'm done with Darker Shade of Magic - this could count toward the White cover in the challenge. Almost done with Two for the Dough - Beth, would you please swap this in for The Golem and the Jinni (location: New Jersey.)
I can read Vampire Academy for the challenge: read by Denise from Team Betty Boop in Feb. I will also be reading The Rook soon - bet there is cabbage, potato, bacon or bread in that :)
Teddie wrote: "Laura, stay warm! We are just seeing clear roads here for the first time in weeks, so I feel for you!I'm done with Darker Shade of Magic - this could count toward the White cover in the challenge..."
thanks Teddie! darn snow I can't wait until it is gone until next winter! What did you think of
??I finished 3 & 4 this weekend and laughed so hard! I love these books. I ordered 5, 6 and 7 hopefully they come in soon!
I am finally seeing some grass around here as well! But three hours away at my dad's house, there is still 6 inches of snow on the ground. Gotta love lake effect snow!I updated the spreadsheet
Oh just so you guys know, I will be leaving for my dad's wedding on the 20th (Friday) and I will try to read as much as possible while I'm gone but I won't be as active on here
Beth, have fun at the wedding! You can put Two for the Dough on the March challenge for the word potato. I will have it done tonight. You can also put down Vampire Academy for the challenge: read by Denise from Team Betty Boop in Feb. It will also work for H10 C1 - first book in a series.
Laura, I read the Stephanie Plum books until through book 7 a few years ago - I was recently told by a friend I HAD to read book 8, so I'm rereading them now when I need a few giggles :)
hehe, I m slowly getting there.... I have a few on order from my librarywhen I have a Plum book, its all I want to read. Its such a sassy, fun read.
Teddie wrote: "thanks! so you must know about the BIG EVENT that apparently happens in book 8 - lol."spoiler alert, spoiler alert, heheehehe I 'm not quite there yet
but I' m guessing that Stephanie (view spoiler)
Beth!!! You didn't tell me that Evanovich writes a paranormal series!! My friendly librarian told me this afternoon:) Hehehe, will have to check it out!
I'm not sure.. I am going to have to look it up. She said she read up to around book 10 in Plum and discovered her other series ( I guess she has two others) and really liked the other series better. I 'm thinking "what she liked it more than Plum?? It must be really good!!
Thanks, everyone, for all the congratulations and well wishes! I shouldn't need any time off/away, because we have a super long drive down and back to our honeymoon spot, and I'm sure I'll still find time to read that week!I FINALLY finished Heir of Fire, I feel like that took way too long. It works for hand 10, card 8 because location starts with E (Erilea is the continent) and the March mini challenge spot because it was 562 pages. On to The Red Queen!

Laura, I didn't think so, it took me almost 2 weeks to read, and I just couldn't get into it. The ending was really good, though! I can't wait for the next book to figure out what happens.
Hey everyonehow is everyone doing? how is the reading going??
I am reading several books at once so not really making any progress on one book. I'm trying to read the one I like the least.. Its a short book but not a quick easy read.
I'm hoping to finish The history of love tomorrow night??
I've got
,
,
&
on the go and then I 'll be reading
Hi everyone, we have been kind of quiet recently. Like Laura, I have been reading a lot but not getting anywhere fast and feeling frustrated. Just finished DUFF though. Overhyped and predictable and like everyone did not like the sex in this one. It had so much potential though. Oh for mini-challenge. Can do for task 1 C- for character named Casey or for book read by another team in February- Read by Marie-Allen on Fraggle Rock.
I also read
which can work for hand 10 card 8- character named Elisa or in hand 11 card 3 - third in series. HAs the word bread in the book for the mini-challenge. Do you need a page reference?
Spreadsheet is all updated!June, I put DUFF in task 2 because I'm currently reading a book that fits for C in task one but doesn't fit anywhere else.
Just a reminder: I am leaving on Friday and will not be around as often. But Laura will be able to take over the spreadsheet until I get back. I'm hoping to finish a few books over the next few days
Help..... I 'm floundering in snow!!!! Another storm yesterday and I'm not able to get into work this morning as of yet. My street isn't plowed. Going out to shovel and assess and then back in to get cozy and finish off one of these books!!
All done with The Rook - awesome book! Laura, would you please add Two for the Dough for the word cabbage item of the challenge?
So ready for winter to come to an end!!
Hi Laura, I've finished The Good Guy: A Novel h4 Card 3 today. The read date for Munich Signature is March 15.
I'm reading
- which can fit in hand 9 card wild draw 4.Also reading
hand 10 card 4- author surmane stars with F or hand 11 card 5 for same reson. Or hand 11/13 card 1- first in a series.
Home from work but I need to go back out to pick up a few things for a sleepover! I will update tonight! I'm almost finished two of my several books and have a couple to add to the spreadsheet as well!

Haha, I know I'm not on your team but I saw this and had to comment, because I love the Stephanie Plum books. ;)
Her paranormal series starts with Wicked Appetite and I think there are two others published so far. It features Diesel, if you've read the between the numbers books in the Stephanie Plum series you'll be familiar with him. I've only read the first two books so far but I really like them! :D
Hi Denise! I actually have Wicked Appetite so I guess now I know what it's about! I love Janet Evanovich!
Ah thanks Denise.. that is exactly what she said!! Are they are good as the Plum series? We have 3 of us reading and loving the Plum series! I picked up book # 5 today after work :)
Beth (Ducky) wrote: "Hi Denise! I actually have Wicked Appetite so I guess now I know what it's about! I love Janet Evanovich!"Beth.. you lucky duck!! ( lol) You need to read it!!! Safe trip and you can tell us about it when you get back:)

Beth (Ducky) wrote: "Hi Denise! I actually have Wicked Appetite so I guess now I know what it's about! I love Janet Evanovich!"You should definitely give it a try soon! I'm glad I saw you guys mention it, because I didn't even realize that there was a third book out. I'll have to pick it up. :)

Yes, I think they're as good as the Plum books! :D
Glad so many of you are enjoying that series. It's sooooo much fun! Grandma Mazur is one of my favorite people ever. You'll definitely have to check out the Between the Numbers books when you get to that point (I think the first goes between books 8 and 9) so that you can meet Diesel! He's great. But, you definitely wouldn't have to read those before starting his series. :)
