The genre is YA fantasy and maybe a little historic fiction. I read this book 1 or 2 years ago. The book is a standalone book set in the late 1800s or early 1900s. This book is about a girl whose dad is a monster hunter. Her dad disappeared leaving her alone (she has no mother and travels) Her dad has an assistant who helps her search for him. People try to kill them along the way. They search for her dad through Europe and particularly Romania. They go through villages and towns and even hitchhike. The assistant and daughter fall in love. They are about 15 to 17. I cannot remember the name but I absolutely loved this book!
