It’s driving me crazy, I saw this thriller-like book at Barnes and Noble back in January, it was on a “buy one get one” table, so I think it might have been published in 2018-19. It’s got a half-closed door like the picture was taken down a long dark hallway late at night, I think “tell” was in the title. It was this story of this girl who has a murderer confess to her that they killed someone one, but she can’t tell because she’s mute, the main plot is that there is this new procedure or implant that will help her to start talking, but the murder knows if she gets it she’ll tell. So she has to stay alive long enough to talk and get help.

Is this book for adults or teens? How old is the girl? What's her job or is she a student?

I don't know her age, I can only guess around the age of 16-25, the description of the book said nothing about her lifestyle, outside of her disability. And I don't know what audience it's meant for, as I found it on a "sale" table with all kinds of books. I think it might be YA, but I'm not sure, so I didn't say.
