Lying in a hospital bed seemingly comatose, Amber Reynolds' mind is still aware of everything around her. Obviously she has been in a terrible accident but Amber can't remember any details. When her husband visits she begins to feel that he must have had something to do with her condition as she believes he doesn't love her anymore. Her sister Claire at Amber's bedside does not make the situation any clearer and Amber believes there may even be something going on between her husband and sister. As her mind tries to find its way out of the fog, Amber recalls snippets of her past: a troubled childhood and her best friend; a difficult boss at work and her own efforts to sabotage the woman; a former boyfriend who has mysteriously reentered her life. Confused and frightened, Amber fights to show everyone that she is still inside the broken body.

I am so confused. Somehow I seem to have lost the truth of this story. No one is who they say they are and the lies are running rampant throughout. At times I felt like I had a handle on it all only to be proven wrong. Maybe that was the point?
