Wow, this book was amazing. Potentially my favorite Stormlight book yet. I finished it a week ago and am curious about what others think.

Yes, I felt that too, but some of the pieces such as Wit and Jasnah, Kaladin battling the Pursuer, and learning more about fabrials, made the book for me.
It’s tough for me to say one book is better than the other because the enjoyment of one is built upon the groundwork of previous books. That said, RoW was outstanding. The emotional highs and lows was very prevalent. The high like Kaladin’s fourth ideal and the low of Teft (why Sanderson, why?!?!?). Then you have the unforgettable moments like “journey before destination, you bastard” and the new Odium. I’m at awe at how much I love this series. I just cannot wait for book 5.
I agree in the sense that choosing one is so hard with the scale of creativity in all of the books in mind. That said, RoW shed light on a lot of other moments too, such as about the heralds, the ghostbloods, shadesmare, and the recreance. Not to mention, Adolin finally revived his blade!
WoR is still my favorite SA book, but Rhythm of War was amazing, the best book I’d read since Oathbringer. I’m looking forward to reread it when it’ll be translated to polish language in few months.
As a scientist I really liked and appreciated all of Navani's chapters in this book, even if I don't like Navani herself as much as other characters. It's amazing how he is incorporating science to SA. To me this book is the best with WoK to which I have a special attachment
Now that we have a little more information about the Ghost Bloods, what do you all think Kelsier is really working towards?
He obviously works on getting back to physical body and then world hopping. I'm seriously worried that he's going to be villain. Not as twisted as Moash though, there's no way he could reach that level.
Yeah, I think there's a definite chance that he will become a villain. I'm trying to decide if he's just hijacking the Ghost Bloods to get what he wants, if he actually just wants trade between worlds, or if the trade idea is just a cover up for lesser members.
I'd suggest the semi-recent Shardcast episode on Kelsier, if you're interested in that. It has some really interesting theories in it. (It's titled Lord of Scars, I believe).
Just a prediction, but re-reading book 1 the epigraph: "I hold the suckling child in my hands, a knife at his throat, and know that all who live wish me to let the blade slip. Spill its blood upon the ground, over my hands, and with it gain us further breath to draw.", gave me the idea that Odium's eventual champion will be Gavinor Kholin
How would that work though? Gavinor is still just a child and the battle takes place in ten days time. So they would have to postpone the date.
As I said, I don't know exactly how it would work, but I feel like the epigraphs should be tying into the story somehow, and that's the only real application of that specific epigraph (that we know of yet).
Alabaster wrote: "As I said, I don't know exactly how it would work, but I feel like the epigraphs should be tying into the story somehow, and that's the only real application of that specific epigraph (that we know..."Yes, they definitely hold importance. It would definitely be a Sanderon thing to do as well. But I think the only way that would happen is if they postponed the challenge somehow.
There's also the musings of El that I'm curious about.
I think it will be a less conspicuous solution than Gavinor. Mr. Sanderson knows his story twists, but it’s all connected 👌
Not completly sure he will be a regular radiant, but I think he and Mayalaran will be important in Shadesmar from here on.
Agreed. I'm wondering if she'll have to go back to a cultivation spren city. If no then I think she'll stay with Adolin, and maybe he'll get a single surge.
In any event, my quess is that they will stay mostly together and continue developing their relation/bond. I’m getting the (small WoT spoiler) Androl-Pevara feeling from them.
Then you are in for a treat, Brandon finished the series in a fantastic way! What I mean is that the bond between Adolin and Maya might evolve in new ways and make new things possible.
Authors really do like to chose long names for books. The Wheel of Time is a great series. It's 14 books long, and the author of the first 11 and a half were done by Robert Jordan, but he passed away so Sanderson wrote the last two and a half.
It’s even 15 books if you count the prequel ;) There is a lull around book 9 and espesially book 10, but Jordan is back on track on book 11. Lots of fun readalong podcasts for the series.
