Finished my December book for Georgian era: Tempting Fortune by Jo Beverley. I gave 3 stars. Some parts were enjoyable, but I got a bit impatient with the heroine at times. Also, it felt a bit old-fashioned (written 1995).
I'm closing out my 2021 RATA challenge now. I set a target of 12 books, one per month, and managed 9 of them. Not too bad :)
I just finished
I had read the first book earlier in the year. I have to say they have been 2 of my favorite rereads.

Hi all- Thoroughly enjoyed the Romance across the ages challenge. Finished the December theme - reader s choice. Read The Stranger I Married. Was a steamy read but a good one
Got to read so many different genres as part of this challenge and read books from 23 themes.
Looking forward to 2022 RATA

Thanks for the overview Darbella, I have been wanting to read the Forbidden Rose! I really enjoyed Black Hawk that's also by Bourne. For this month, I'm reading The Making of a Duchess (for Georgian, even though Goodreads categorizes it as Regency it takes place in 1801), and it sounds good!
Darbella wrote: "Christine L.-- I loved the Making of a Duchess. I hope you enjoy it too."It s a good one.
Darbella wrote: "Christine L.-- I loved the Making of a Duchess. I hope you enjoy it too."I did! I liked the use of the mistaken identity trope.
Favs:
Note: Daughter of the Reich had a bittersweet ending, so I don't know how solid of a HR it was, but very thought provoking and I appreciated the romance in it.
Finished 12/13/2021. Thanks for the challenge!
I'm a little bit behind this challenge, I have to update my post but I don't know if I achieve the 24 books... I'm not in the mood for Medieval (I thinkI alreadyread one bookthis year it was medieval but don't remember each one), Viking and Ancient World, do you have some suggestions?

I haven't found a Viking romance that I'd recommend to others yet. I ahve heard good things about Moning's Viking books, Beyond the Highland Mist .Don't force yourself to read more then you want to, though.
For future reference, does mythology count for the ancient world option, especially if it's historical based like Daughter of Sparta? If so, I'd also recommend that.
I've started "Highlander 's Captive" for time travel and medieval. It's nice but has a lot of tiny errors, I think. Has someone read it?

Does it take place in historical times?
If not, I am wondering if making it an ancient world / mythology category to open it up more makes sense?

For Civil War: Ashes in the Wind, An Extraordinary Union, or Heather Graham's Civil War trilogy.
Here are some Stuart Era suggestions: https://allaboutromance.com/book-type... The Marigold Chain looks good!

Heather Graham has written quick books in most of these catagories
Your Welcome! I tried to name some quick books, like Ondine by Heather Graham. Seriously, your amazing reading almost all 24 eras!!!Curious, does the ancient era have to be Roman and Greek? or can it be Celts, Germania tribes? I guess I should be asking Jan

I can't believe I never thought of the Celtcs! I'd be very interested to find some in that time period.
Christine L. wrote: "I can't believe I never thought of the Celtcs! There are three individual books in the series.
