There is this listchallenge with all past winners & shortlist books for the Women's Prize listed. How many have you read? Of those that you haven't read, which ones are highest on your Want to Read list?

Carol | 63 comments Hi Jessica,
I’ve read the 25 previous winners and have read a few others, so 38 off this list. Handy to see then all displayed in this format and a few favourites I hadn’t realised had been shortlisted.
Carol

Jen | 116 comments Thanks for posting that Jessica! I’m starting to plan my reading for next year and this helped me pick some titles to include.

I’ve read 44 or 30% so lots of options. I will prioritize books I own copies of, and authors I’ve never read but have wanted to for some time. So,

Owned: The Colour, Alias Grace, The Great Fire,

Authors: Cynthia Ozick, Aminatta Forna, Zadie Smith, Helen Dunsmore

I've read 64 of the past shortlisted titles which includes most of the winners. I think I have around 4 winners left to read.

For 2021, I am going to prioritize reading the winners and some subset of the shortlisted books that I have yet to read. DECISIONS, decisions.

I have read 51!!

Ones I hope to read soon are An American Marriage by Tayari Jones The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker The Inheritance of Loss by Kiran Desai [bookcover:The Very Thought of You|6622006 and quite a few others!!

there are a couple I have started and not got on with such as the Lacuna and Wolf Hall - I just got bogged down in them!

I've read and loved all of those on your short term list except for The Very Thought of You.

I finally got around to Wolf Hall this year. It was a bit of a slog for me to get through but I DID IT! (proud moment). I am hoping to maybe get to the follow ups in 2021.

I haven't read The Great Fire or The Colour yet either. Maybe one of those would be a good group read. I LOVE LOVE LOVED Alias Grace. I am a big Atwood fan.

That would be great! Thanks for stepping up as a mod, by the way.

Carol | 63 comments I’ve just finished A thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes from this years shortlist and I’d recommend for anyone into Greek myth retellings, I love anything like that
