Children's Picture book. The first day of Winter is really the start of Summer. Days get longer once Winter starts and approaches Summer. Published before 2010.

Children's librarian here, on the search for a title for a patron. This is what I have to go on:

"The book was about how summer was getting closer on December 22nd - the day that day's start getting longer - about how the first day of Winter was really the start of Summer. The illustrations were very artistic, not comical. It was just a cool story about the days getting longer once Winter starts. It was a story book, but had some factual information."

The book was read "several" years ago, so I'd say published before 2010, but unfortunately can't narrow it down beyond that.

Any help would be appreciated! I'll answer questions as well as I can, but this is a secondhand request.
