I nominate The Angel's Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafón which didn't make it in the November vote, but try, try again.
I nominate Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo. It won the 2019 Booker Prize and is an entertaining, enjoyable read.
Good Morning Midnight which is about to be a movie released called Midnight Sky with George Clooney.

I would second Strangers except for the fact that it is so new that I doubt that I can get a copy from the library.
Ruth wrote: "Thank you Jackie for posting the author of Good Morning, Midnight. I forgot to include it."
It's no worries Ruth, I just want to make I get the right book that's all.

I'm not sure if I can accept this one Mary, doesn't look to be widely available.

I'd like to nominate a classic of horror from the 1970's -- the ultra important novel, Ghost Story by Peter Straub. Thanks! --Jen from Quebec :0)

Nominations start today and will close on 10th December (or as soon as the poll has six books).
During this time anybody can nominate and second one book each. You cannot second the book you have nominated. The 6 books with the most second votes at the end of the 7 day nomination period will go into the poll. There are no limits to the number of seconds a book can receive, although please be mindful of this as most times we do not receive enough nominations for the poll to open.
The poll will then run until the 15th December and the winner will be announced shortly after. I hope this will leave everybody with enough time to obtain the chosen book.
Please also check that your chosen nomination hasn't been a group read in the past. You can do this by looking at the group bookshelf, contact one of the moderators or post on 'Ask the Moderators' thread
If you have any questions on the nominations process please contact me, use the 'Ask the Moderators' thread or post on here and we will be happy to help.
