I got my eyes dilated about an hour ago so I'm just waiting for it to ware off and then I'll start!

I an through chapter 5. So far I am loving the world building and character development.

Faith (view spoiler)[ I like her and her friendships. she is honest about how she views the world she lives in and her friends. I also like that she doesn;t take shit from Wade. I have a feeling he will stick around but hopefully he will smarten up and stop being a jerk. (hide spoiler)]

Hawk (view spoiler)[ he is so adorable! I like how he has kind of inserted himself into Faiths life like a little brother- even though he is crushing on her and Liz. He embraces being odd and doesn't appologize for it which I like. He is endearing. (hide spoiler)]

I like the secret hideout (view spoiler)[ in the school. and I hope that we learn quickly who is messing with the tablets and able to sneak in and out of places without ever being seen. It's kind of creepy but intriguing at the same time (hide spoiler)]

I don't like that she was throwing Liz under the bus

who's thumbing through their tablets
what is this wire thing? like a drug? why did she take it with Wade?
why is Liz getting clingy? I thought it was the other way around?
why did she think she was dreaming about the whole water thing but the book said it wasn't a dream?
why does she keep having these strange vision/dream things with rebels in them? (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-9


(view spoiler)[Faith seems okay and I do feel bad for her because Liz left. She never got to say goodbye. Wade is such a jerk and I have no trust for him. Hawk is cool. I just hope nothing bad happens to him. Overall I find this book weird and somewhat confusing. I wish we knew more about what was going on. (hide spoiler)]

This book makes me feel like I'm reading The Maze Runner again. There are so many things that need to be explained and we are getting NO answers. Books like these really irritate me. I can definitely see why you did not care much for this book Trisha.

I'm a little disappointed myself because I enjoyed the other two series I read by him.

I decided to give this a 3. I'm not saying it was a great book. Clearly that would be a lie. We did get some more information towards the end and that was nice. Too bad it still wasn't much to go on. I'm not sure I will read the other 2 books in the series. I'm afraid that they they might end up like The Maze Runner and I do not want to relive that again.
