I’m pretty sure it had a blueish cover
Main character is in high school and does dance
About a girl who every year creates kind of a new version of herself? Each new year she becomes a new person and she can talk to the older versions of herself/ the older versions can watch what she’s doing (Maybe, not sure)
There’s one part where she describes being in a movie theatre with her younger selves (although I could be confusing this with another book)
The new person process is described as painful
In one part she tries finding her symptom on the internet but I think she only finds stuff about cancer
There’s a part where she posts on the internet about her condition despite her mother constantly worrying about her being on the internet, but the only response she gets is a viagra ad
Near the end of the book she competes in this dance recital on the day she’s meant to become a new version, and she does it on stage and blacks out
Somehow she makes it through and doesn’t become a new version?
I think they describe the split as something to do with skin splitting but not too sure
There was also a romance (I think) with some random guy, and she has a female best friend (neither of them know about her thing although she might tell them at the end?)

neeka | 2 comments Could it possibly be Dancing in Time: A Novel by Jessica Flynn? Not sure that the details match up, but the main character is a dancer who wakes up as the seventeen-year-old version of herself.
Alternatively, here is a list of YA dance books: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
Hope you find it!

I don’t think it’s that one, however that list looks really useful, I’ll be looking through there as well! Thank you!

I remembered some more details from the book!
With the new version, it’s like different consciousness in one body, so each year a new consciousness version is in the same body (so 10 year old her and 11 year old her are two seperate people but still same body/similar personality)
Each version only gets a year and then they’re done forever
I think the old versions (eg 10 year old her) can see what’s going on since they’re in her mind and talk to her (however that could have just been a dream sequence)
Once she becomes (for example) 11, her 10 year old version can’t see what’s going on after the split (potentially they might be able to in the brain, don’t remember tho) and I don’t remember if the versions can remember the past or not
I’m pretty sure she only lives with her mother (who probably knows about the splits every year? Not sure about that tho. I think she does because I’m pretty sure her mother tells her not to participate in the dance recital at the end of the year because that’s her split date)
I think there’s something with her skin that happens leading up to the split date? (Like it becomes red and scaly or something) and when she googles her symptoms she only finds cancer and stuff
She also makes a post onto some forum somewhere (can’t remember if it was a video or text post) after panicking about all the kidnapping stories her mother told her but she gets no answers apart from a viagra ad

Becca (beccalikesbooks) | 5548 comments Pretty sure this is More of Me by Kathryn Evans. Here's the Google Books preview:
https://www.google.co.uk/books/editio...

I searched for 'Viagra' and think I found the bit you remember:
I deleted the comments telling me where to get Viagra. In all, there were thirteen comments from genuine people, but not one word from anyone who could actually help.
