I'll probably read 'The Silent Patient' for this prompt (I ticked off 'the do-overs and fresh starts' prompt with Mort).




Just finished reading Ayelet Waldman's first book in her Mommy-Track Mystery series, Nursery Crimes and enjoyed it. I has a broken vehicle on the cover!


to me, that seems a stretch, it's not one i'd feel worked for my challenge. i tend to be more strict with myself than others, tho, so YMMV.

(broken wall) and it was very thought provoking. Actually, it could be used for several of the prompts this year. Highly recommend this one. I listened to the audio version and their voices added to the experience.

Little Fires Everywhere was absolutely lovely, I feel like the burning paper counts - and there's a certain theme of 'broken', too.


That skull is definitely broken.
And if you're doing GenreLand, John Creasey definitely counts as a prolific author.
