It definitely does. But I just try to kinda speed read when the narration starts to get boring, so that's what gets me through that.

Today when I woke up and walked into the living room I saw that we had guests.
Great. Why doesn't anyone tell me about who's coming to our house and when?
Second thing. My father told me to give the guests a tour of the neighbourhood.
I never knew that I was supposed to be a tour guide
I usually like to say that I'm an ambivert leaning towards the extrovert side, but sometimes I really have this identity crisis. Today was one of those days.
I didn't even know those guests and everyone expected me to have full-length conversations with them.
Then it turns out one of them was a PhD in English and she asked me about my hobbies. Well I said singing and reading of course andafter asking me some questions about what music I listen to and stuff she asked me what I liked to read.
I really don't understand why it's so difficult fot me to answer that question.
I said fantasy and in a small voice *contemporary*
She didn't really pay attention to the contemporary part though.
Then it turned out that she likes reading mysteries.
I was still thinking about what answer I'd give if she asked me what kind of contemporaries I read.
Because rn I'm readingBy Your Side and What If It's Us
Both of which can't be mentioned irl because they're romance. Duh.
My parents would probably take my phone away if they learnt that I read romance (even if it's clean)
Anyways she didn't ask me that question so we're all good.
