Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 643 comments I read The Day the Crayons Quit, which was only 30 pages, and had forgotten I'd added to my TBR

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 1756 comments I read In Sea-Salt Tears which Goodreads tells me is only 24 pages. Easiest prompt ever. Was a lovely, sad story, reminds me I must get back into the October Daye series.

Harry Patrick | 109 comments The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin is only 106 pages.

JessicaMHR | 574 comments Excluding all the children's books I read with the Little Man this for me was actually the next book in a series I'm working through. Divorce Horse by Craig Johnson is only 25 pages. I just finished it and surprisingly it still took me 2 days!

This also came up as shortest for me. Looks fun. I love kid's books and after I've read I know a toddler who will really enjoy it.

If someone is looking for inspiration, try The Fifty Year Sword by Mark Z. Danielweski. It's 100 pages and it also has lots of drawings, so it's more like 50. I really enjoyed that one.
I also really liked Fox 8 which is about 53 pages. Be prepared though, there's some sadness in that book.

Jacqie Just read "The Truth About Owls" by Amal El-Mohtar. It was originally published as a short story online, only 10 pages! I really liked it. Now I have to read my longest book, which is over 1000 pages, to even things out.

message 68: by Dana (new)

Dana Cristiana (silvermoon1923) A lot of shorties, indeed. But one I really want to read and that the author kindly asked me to, is KICK ANXIETY'S ASS! 10 TIPS TO STAY SANE IN TIMES OF CRISIS, STRESS, AND ISOLATION: AN EASY GUIDE TO NOT GIVING UP WHILE STAYING AT HOME by Christian Nava.

message 69: by Dubhease (new)

Dubhease | 642 comments I read The Cask of Amontillado, which is more of a short story at 22 pages. I have never read a Poe story that I didn't like.
