December 2020. Holy smokes, ladies! We've almost made it through level 12 of Jumanji! This, right here, this is my happy place and books always make me happy. Judy has chosen an amazing theme for this month. I need more of this in my life! I need the tunes!

December ~ Judy's Pick ~ Rock on! Musician romance or a book set in Canada to honor our theme picker's choice this month!

This will be the discussion thread for all our December Challenge books we read this month. You can read as many as you'd like, but please let me know which one you're picking!

What we do need is for you to sign up, and let us know you intend to participate before the 5th of the month and then, (this is the important part), come back and let us how you rated it or what you thought of it before 1159 p.m. of the last day of the month. That's it. Pretty simple, really.

(The last time we did this, we all used our massive TBR piles and made it a rule that this was a TBR challenge...I'm forgoing that rule this time, because-fun! I want this to be fun and not a slog to get through, you know? However, you certainly can stick to that rule, if you want to.)

Each month that you participate and finish on/before the last day of the month, you will get your name added to a list that will be eligible to be randomly selected from at the beginning of 2021 for a $10 Amazon gift card.

*Pay no attention to this spoiler right now, this is just my list of who participated last month in alphabetical order...because my OCD compels me and this makes it slightly easier in the grand scheme of things, LOL!

Catia (kookay) | 197 comments I finished Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas , and gave it 3 stars. I have to say I was expecting a lot more but...maybe it was me and not the book! I loved all Penelope Douglas books and my fav was Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas . ..

message 22: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Finished How to Kill a Rock Star by Tiffanie DeBartolo and easily give it 5 stars. It was so different from the usual rock star romance formula and delivered a few amazing surprises!!

I'm trying so hard to get this done before the 31st. I've only completed 2 books this month and one was a novella. At the same time, I've listened to 11 audios. Finding time to sit and read is really hard in December. I should have considered the audio availability when picking my theme choice.🙃

Oh, but I must say, that I'm really enjoying it. Especially since I'm not a huge fan of rock star romances.

T. Rosado (trosado) | 338 comments Whew! I made it by a hair.
Rise (Rock Solid, #1) by Karina Bliss 5 Stars!!

Marta Yeah, december was kind of bad for me,usually is, but I was stubborn and thought if I was "forced" I was able to read for the challenge, so all this to say that I still have 100 pages to finish The Girl in the Love Song (Lost Boys, #1) by Emma Scott

Happy New Year everyone 🍾🥂🎉🎉

message 28: by Marta (new)

Marta The Girl in the Love Song (Lost Boys, #1) by Emma Scott : 3,5* (finished 01/01)

I liked but don't know, it was difficult to accepted some choices and some people around the protagonists, like Evelyn...but! But I am completely excited for the next couples :D
