I recently read "Black Sheep" and "Arabella" and love Miles and Mr. Beaumaris (particularly the latter). The dialogue between Miles and Abigail is really funny and witty. I love Mr. Beaumaris, who is also very funny, and changes his ways (though he is considerate at the beginning with Arabella's old governess).

He fell deeply in love with Arabella, for the first time in his life, and somewhat to his surprise, it seems. I liked his patience with Arabella, and his wry asides to the dog were humorous. He clearly had a lovely relationship with his elderly dragon of a grandmother.
I've always loved Miles too :)

I find Arabella much harder to take to than most of Heyer’s heroines, but not so much that I can’t enjoy re-reading the book!

Ah yes, Freddy is a darling. Just don’t make him visit The British Museum.

I just read "The Unknown Ajax" and Hugo is a love! He is one of Heyer's heroes that seems like he could exist in the real world. He is not over the top and seems more realistic. He is in my top 5 I would say. He is just so sweet, smart, steady, funny, and caring. I love him and Anthea together (just going to ignore the fact that they're cousins).

Nooo! Who could hate the swoon worthy Dameral? 😀
I recommend Arabella and Black Sheep and the heroes from those are two of my favourites, though if you don’t like Dameral they might not float your boat. Friday’s Child is another top tier Heyer, though not for romantic heroes - Sherry and his friends are hysterical. You might like Sprig Muslin and the hero in that, Sir Gareth, is a lovely honourable non-rake.
