Rating: ★★★★

Review: This one was cute. It was a fun fast read. The main character is sassy and funny. I also love that the meddling ghost was the mother in law of the other character. Love the couple in this also. Definitely fluffy but very sweet. Had me laughing out loud at certain parts.

It only took about 5 minutes to burn one of the CDs but then it took over 20 min each to get them imported to Itunes. I gave up after disc 8 and switched to print.

this book is on the Angels shelf

I don't know if it fits anything else.

I don't know ..."

I'll come back with the Bane Chronicles points .

Review: this is a cute little Christmas romance. a poor stray cat is taken in by an unsuspecting "victim" in Zach Stone....a single fireman who needs help in the love department, but is slow on the uptake. he's a big flirt, and loves his life, but he keeps having "day dreamy" thoughts about marriage. he owns a small Victorian, which he is planning to refurb and then sell...but when this cat "Ambrose" move in, all bets are off. the cat weaves his way into Zach's heart, and somehow manages to catch the eye of a girl....and then.....sparks fly!

That's great Catherine . You just need to mark as read on your shelf , set the read date , rate it , write a short review and post your review and rating on this thread.

That one is an anthology . I'm waiting for other mods to discuss if anthologies are allowed .

One thing I like about Nora Roberts is you know what you are getting when you pick up one of her books. They are reliable. This was a nice entertaining read. I had a lot of deja vu moments which made me think I had read it before until she witnessed the murder. Then I realized I had just read a whole lot of books about a girl on the run from something or other who ends up working in a small town diner. Anyway I always enjoy her books but I would never pay money for them. I have to say I was surprised at the killer.

Angels Fall by Nora Roberts
This one was hard for me to rate, but going with 3.
I agree with Mary that I seem to have just read one book too many about a girl who goes on the run and ends up working at a small town diner :/ I think honestly I'd have rated this higher if the initial plot didn't seem like such a redux to me, which isn't really fair since most of the books it reminds me of were written afterwards. But anyway.
2 things really worked for me in this one- the two main characters, and the romance. Brody (the male lead) was a bit hard for me to get into at first but I really warmed up to him and appreciated the pace at which the romance build.
What didn't really work for me: the setting/basic initial plot as already mentioned. Also wasn't the hugest fan of most of the characters aside from the main two- several were kind of mean.
What did and didn't work for me: The murder mystery. I liked the gaslighting that went on and also I don't mind saying I had no idea who the murderer was (though I did know who it wasn't :P). However, the murder and mystery were somehow a little... heavy handed for me? It's hard to explain. I also felt there were some minor plot holes related to this that were hard for me to entirely get past.

eta: Hopefully they'll put a list of possibles up again and I scout some books out early.

I did get 2 book ideas from a thread last night and checked out the ebook version. I held off on downloading so I can just return them early if they aren't called.

author is John:
cover: mountains and water which you see a lot of in the video but would have to see what imagery they chose. Also water in the song lyrics.
I looked at this because it's 2011 like the Jessie J song but could work for All of Me too:

Mountains on Cover, major character named John.

Not coming up with much for the Michael Buble song other than year 2003. Not going to worry about that one unless it's called. Video is just him and some musicians playing. Could probably find a Michael. (I don't suppose reading old texts or facebook posts from my brother Michael would count?)

As for the plot she is assuming her dead friend's identity , it doesn't seem to be a fake relationship .
