I suppose this is just for curiosity's sake, but I'm seeing a work where editions have been combined but which have different primary authors. How does this happen? (And it isn't something old, it happened last month.)

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. Librarian changes the name of a primary author for one work in an already combined group. Now that group can be combined, even if 50 other editions have a different primary author.
