This is our December prompt. I thought this might be fun for December time to perhaps also watch the adaption. It doesn't matter when the movie was made but the book must be pre-1991 and by a female author.

The lists below are just for inspiration if needed. They are not complete.

Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont was made into a film, I might reread that. Also They Knew Mr. Knight by Dorothy Whipple was I think.

Brenda (gd2brivard) | 1270 comments Besides several Poirot films, YouTube also has some of the Lord Peter Whimsey adaptations of Dorothy Sayers mystery novels if anyone is interested. I’ve got sucked into a few of them already and they’re good fun!

I chose Lady Susan by Jane Austenwhich I rated ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The adaption, Love and Friendship I only give 2 stars. It was not a good adaption and was totally void of the wit of Jane Austen in this marvelous character Lady Susan Vernon
