Diego felt as if his heart had shattered, but he held back in the heartbroken tears. He silently prayed that Caspian was saying no to something completely unrelated, and that he hadn't been able to hear, even with his bat-like hearing. "I'm not letting you go back there alone." I've said it, though... I can move on, now. He felt like he had just lied to himself.
(Caspian wasn't saying no to anything? He still thinks that Diego only likes him as a best friend or something)

”Diego, I literally just came out to you wtf?” Caspian asked, pulling away to give him an incredulous look. ”But fine, I won't.” He added, slowly but surely turning back to normal.
"Wait, came out?" Diego was completely confused. "When? What? I'm confused?" He raised a hand to hold his forehead. "If you're trying to tell me something, you need to be straightforward. I don't pick up subtle things," he felt like he was going to hurt himself if he tried thinking too hard.
”Okay okay, I'm sorry.” He said, looking up at him and reaching up to ruffle his hair, barely making it because of his height. ”Diego, I'm pansexual.” He said after taking a deep breath, looking him straight in the eyes. ”Was that straightforward enough?”
Diego paused and his mind went blank. "Could..." he looked into his eyes and searched for any sign for requited love. "Could I try something, then?"
”Yeah.” Caspian immediately said. To anyone else he would've been much more hesitant, but this was Diego. And Caspian trusted him.
Diego lightly grasped Caspian's chin. Please don't kill me. He took in a deep breath of bravery before speaking again. "Caspian Asmodeus, te amo," he murmured before leaning forward to gently press his own lips against the shorter male's.(view spoiler)
Caspian stood completely rigid for a moment, not knowing if this was dream or not. But the boy he had loved for 8 years was kissing him and he’d be damned if he didn't kiss him back. So he did, wrapping his arms around his neck, eyes closed as he tried to memorize every single thing about this moment. ”Yo también te amo.” He replied in between kisses.(view spoiler)
((IT'S CANON AGAIN))Diego felt hot tears stream down his face as he memorized every feeling he had only ever dreamed of. It was only air that forced him to part from the male that he held. "Well, damn, I've been bisexually panicking since before I can remember for nothing?" He chuckled, not bothering to try to wipe away to small waterfall of tears that had been waiting for way too long to come out. "I've never been so happy before, mi amor," he whispered, pressing his forehead against Caspian's.

Caspian didn't say anything as he felt his tears roll down his face, a small but extremely happy and giddy smile stuck on his face with a dream-like haze in his eyes as tugged Diego back and kissed him deeper than before, trying to control his strength (His powers go weird after his emotions are extreme). ”I’ve been in love with you for so damn long Sebby.”
Diego blushed brightly, at both the statement and the abbreviation of his middle name, but gladly and immediately returned the kisses. "I'll admit that I don't know how long I've loved you... It kinda... Just happened? If that makes any sort of sense?" He kissed Caspian's nose and gave a large smile.
Caspian beamed back and nodded. ”It does, don't worry.” He answered, resting his head against his chest. ”Ready to go?”
Caspian grinned and pulled back, holding his head for a few seconds and blinking, turning red after realizing what he just did. He picked up his bag, securing it tightly by wrapping the handles around his hand. He picked up Diego on his back and got into a running stance, holding him tightly before shooting off (Wanna start?)

Diego, having turned back to his human form before entering the building, opened the door, the slammed it behind him. He locked it and rushed to each window, making sure not a single hint of light could be seen. He needed complete darkness. He was going to have a mental breakdown, and people still had yet to discover he was capable of such things, including his own twin. He wandered over to his disaster of a bed and hid himself entirely under the covers. I'm not ready for my brother to grow up on his own... Without me beside him. How could he just... Let that demon strut right up to him? Just let him kiss him with no warning? He finally started shaking. He wrapped his arms around himself and bit down on his lip to hold his sobs for just a few more moments. And why would he hide learning self-defense? I would have helped with extra training! He knows I'll do anything for him! There they were. Burning tears slowly trailed down his lightly tanned skin. "It hurts," he mumbled shakily before quiet sobs came from under the covers.
Caspian slipped through the window and froze, hearing Diego's sobs. He immediately raced to him and turned into his human form, silently laying down next to him under the covers and holding him tightly, whispering sweet nothings in his ear as he cried. "Diego..." He trailed off, voice cracking at the sight of his ray of sunshine crying like this, peppering kissed all over his face. He forgot to wipe the blood off of his face, small drops of it still there.
Diego's eyes widened when he heard Caspian's voice. "Wh-when did you get here?" He had never been caught crying like this before. He had always made sure he was completely alone, so he couldn't understand how he got caught this time.
”A few seconds ago.” He murmured, nuzzling into the crook of his neck. ”Te amo.” He whispered, running a hand through Diego’s hair trying to kiss away the falling tears.
((oh carp, I forgot the post I was writing was on my iPad-))"T-te amo," Diego responded softly. He couldn't care less about the remaining drops of dried blood that sat on his boyfriend's chin. He was just grateful someone came. "Wh-why would he hide that he was learning self defense? Why would he let some random guy he just met just... Just kiss him like it was nothing at all?" questions were overflowing in his mind, and he didn't know how to get them out beside through his tears.
Caspian just held him closer, thinking for a moment. "When have we ever known Ember to be reckless and let himself fall in love?" He asked quietly. "Maybe he's trying to become stronger and fall in love without any help. You give him so much love and affection and it's definitely not a bad thing at all, but maybe he hasn't had enough room to breathe and do things himself without you being there?" He asked. "I'm sorry if I'm overstepping; I do think that it was sudden, but let him make mistakes and fall down. He'll learn from it, and he knows that you'll aways be there to cushion the landing. You can't stop him from falling completely, but you can make the wounds hurt a little less." He explained, blushing because he probably sounded stupid, but Diego was smart; he could understand it even if Caspian wasn't the best at describing things.
Diego carefully listened to Caspian's words, holding in his sobs to not interrupt. When he finished, he thought over it and nodded. "S-sí... Gracias, mi amor," he wiped away his tears and pulled the small vampire-bat into a much desired hug. "This is why I will never be able to see myself without you by my side. You always know just what to say,"

Caspian kissed him back tenderly, a hand on the back of his neck while the other one continued to brush through Diego's hair. "I'm glad... Te amo mi vida." He whispered in between kisses.
Diego hummed happily through the kisses. He felt like he was truly in heaven, but still alive at the same time. Is this what being in love feels like? He silently asked before pulling Caspian closer, tilting his head to deepen one particular kiss. In all honesty, he truly didn't mind the metalic taste of the remaining drops of blood that rested on the vampire's lips. It intrigued him to no end, and had him interested in furthering his own hunting skills.
Caspian kept his eyes open and couldn't look away from the mortal embodiment of sunshine that Diego was, memorizing his features for about the 23rd time that day. Yes, he was still so jealous of his love, but that emotion could never swell more as long as Diego was Diego; he was the only person that Caspian could not hate, no matter how much he used to try. Maybe he overdid it with the "I love you"s, but with the attachment issues Caspian had, that was one of the more subtle ways that he could remind himself that someone he cared about was still there; that they didn't leave him or disappear. And with Diego, that fear was only heightened.
Pulling away just the slightest bit after not receiving a response, Diego opened his eyes to find Caspian's had never closed. "Mi amor? Qué pasa?" He asked worriedly with a barely noticeable pout. He wanted to release his abundance of questions, but he decided to hold back. What's going on? Did something happen? Did I do something wrong? If so, what did I do? What could I do to change it? Am I too forward? Am I not forward enough? I need answers!(view spoiler)
"Nothing; don't worry about it Puppy." He reassured, blinking out of his daze and offering him a small genuine smile before continuing what they were doing, pulling away and kissing the nape of his neck over and over again, creating a map on his skin that only they knew; he didn't leave any marks since they had school the next day and he remembered not to embarrass him... for once. His fears didn't matter. Even though he knew that things wouldn't remain this perfect forever, he wanted to make the most out of it with the person he loved.
