Okay thanks a simple link is all I want just do I don't forget about it when I'm looking at the main page figuring out what I want to work towards next. :)
For the LRPG, I noticed everyone tracking in that LRPG thread, but the experience that you earn is applied here as well. Just double checking my understanding....
JoLene wrote: "For the LRPG, I noticed everyone tracking in that LRPG thread, but the experience that you earn is applied here as well. The coins are what people would be going for if they aren't a part of the NRPG because they give a large coin reward. At least, that's how I understand it.
Rylie has it correct. You can track in either place. There will be a place to turn in coins if you're participating in the Leprechaun event.
Oh wow the welcome basket is great! Figuring out which 15 books will be the most helpful, dang that may be a challenge!!
Well done guys. Kudos to Daphne for such inventive playtimes. The only thing missing is the March classifieds. It's still early enough.
I agree Allecyn! I have no idea what 15 books to use. :) Probably some of my longer ones that I read last year to help with things like horse armor and leveling up my sword, but I really really want that bobble...The whole basket is great. The minor heal potions will definitely come in handy, and I didn't even think about being able to hire someone out for free...and of course, the potion tokens for whatever I want. Thank you Kelly! :)
Welcome to the game, Suzanne, JessicaAnn, Karsyn and all the new players I missed. It's great to see new faces here.
Love the Leprechaun event, it's so inventive and fun and it brought a bunch of new guys into our neck of woods. :)
Moderators of NBRC wrote: "The rest of the March update is up."Great update. Have a question about the reward though. The Pet Plus Potion is only for those who have unlocked it through the "Alchemy That!" quest, right?
BTW The Welcome basket is lovely. Great job on that, Kelly. :)

I'll let people use it but it won't unlock it in the store for you until you do the Alchemy That one.
Thank you for the welcome basket.....I'm still trying to figure out my first strategies, but now you've almost doubled the number of books I have to play with.I am just so impressed with this game!
Reva wrote: "Well done guys. Kudos to Daphne for such inventive playtimes. The only thing missing is the March classifieds. It's still early enough."March classifieds were put up too.
I didn't end up adding anything else to the store though.

It just keeps getting better and better. Enthusiastic players make it great!
Aww, shucks. I'm glad you're all so happy with things :)I have a few more plans in the works. So we'll see when those make it to prime time.
So if we're leveling up a sword... I'm reading 11/22/63 right now which is over 800+ pages. What will that do for me? Should I keep it in my book reserve until my sword is a higher level?Thank you :)
Thanks for the Welcome Basket - it is beautiful (and functional)! I love it! And thanks even more for the kind welcomes!

yeah, you should definitely save that one for higher levels. Unless you usually read huge books :)
It's just shame to use 800+ book for 100 pgs
Welcome Corinne. Nice to see another new player. Don't feel overwhelmed. There's a lot to take in but the players here are ALL GREAT and more than happy to help in any way. *passes a bowl of mouse crisps over*:-)

Welcome, Corinne!
If I may suggest, save up your 800+ pages book either for leveling up your sword to LVL 8 or for some quest requiring chunky books.
Zuzana wrote: "❀Tea❀ wrote: "We have mouse crisps?!"Sounds disgusting ... delicious?"
Maybe those were those crunchy things in rat stew?
Thank you, everyone! :) I wish I could split my brain in two and use one of my brains to read constantly. There's just too many books and not enough time. :(
Welcome to the other newbies! I just got started on the 3rd, so we're getting on this crazy ride together! :D
Kelly wrote: "I'll let people use it but it won't unlock it in the store for you until you do the Alchemy That one. "Interesting ... Mha ha ha! *devises ways to save Alchemy That books and getting the insta-usable Pet Plus Potions instead*
So, all I have to find are nails for my house, and it'll be complete! I'm wondering if anyone wouldn't mind recommending books with pointy things on the cover that they liked. I tried googling a myriad of terms to find lists with stabby, pointy, spiky, poky things on the covers, but no luck.It would be a plus if there could be a pointy thing and something that could help me with the leprechaun challenge, like the road to St. P or dress like a leprechaun. The only two categories I can't use for the leprechaun challenge are books with lucky in the title and any of Karen's books (I've done those already.) It'll obviously go to my house, and not anything in the LRPG, but I could still get coins out of it.
Covers are the hardest for me to get right, so any assistance in this matter would be super appreciated!
Could a spiky thing be a crown? I just read both Red Queen and Glass Sword and they have spiky-ish crowns on the cover.
Rylie wrote: "I'm wondering if anyone wouldn't mind recommending books with pointy things on the cover that they liked. ."Red Queen & Glass Sword both have pointy/spiky crowns on cover
Gambit dagger on cover
A Court of Thorns and Roses thorns on cover
Throne of Glass daggers on cover
Depending on how picky you wanna be, my book (for Road to) The Great Zoo of China has the end of a dragon's tail on it, and it's pointy.
If pointy dragon tails work for nailing up my house, getting those 4 extra coins will be worth it. :) and the book sounds really interesting. Thanks for the recommendations, guys!
Many welcomes to the new faces! We will need to have a welcome party soon at the tavern me thinks.I <3 the update so much Kelly! It's quite an honor that you used my pet playtime idea. Can't wait to start on them when I finish the LRPG!
For Rylie, I looked at your TBR shelf.
Beastly has thorns on the rose on the cover

If you like action at all (if you like Jurassic Park) hopefully you'll LOVE GZoC. Reilly is way over the top action writer. He's one of my favorites. This book is very much like Jurassic Park only it's Dragons instead of Dinos. It's really enjoyable, well I think so, but Reilly doesn't do much wrong in my eyes. :D
welcome all! I've just seen those wretched leprechauns off on their rainbow, and have a brand spanking new pot of gold, with a fairy coin to spend before it vanishes overnight....
Ales all round!
@Karsyn - totally agree about Reilly. Have you read his Elizabethan one? Seems like it's totally out of character, so I've held off from that one... Really want to re-read his first - Contest, isn't it? Aliens in a Library, in a fight to the death?!

Corinne wrote: "So what are these Classifieds and where can I find them?"That's one of the ways to earn gold. You can find them in Caravan Hill here

I finally read it and Troll Mountain: The Complete Novel and I actually really liked both of them. The Tournament was a little hard to get into and definitely different but it's Reilly and he made it enjoyable.
Contest (yup, aliens in the library) is actually his only book I don't like. I need to give it another chance as it was one of the first that I read of his, after Ice Station.
I've read everything he's written now. Great Zoo and the Scarecrow series are my favorites and I really really loved Hover Car Racer.
Did you see that he submitted his newest Jack West? That'll be the next one to come out, though I haven't seen a publish date for it yet.
Corinne wrote: "Can you use a book you read for a classified ad for a quest too?"You can only use 1 book per task, so if you use it for a classified, that's all you can use it for.
Welcome to all the new people! It's great to see some fresh faces and so much activity in the tavern!
Oh REVA (and/or other knowledgeable RPGers), I have a question, or maybe questions! :)Your (Reva) information tracking on books is impressive! As a newbie, besides cover/characters, what should I focus on jotting down right now to start out with?
In Reva's info, what are some of the things listed? (ie - HORSE6/KITCHEN 10, ATTACK, TRACK, FETCH, KITCHEN7, KITCHEN8, OBEDIENCE 4, OBEDIENCE 5, INT FETCH5, INT FETCH9, COMBAT3 ?) I don't have pets/house or anything yet but what is it that the numbers are telling you? As a newbie how do I determine the best info to keep, without just writing down the whole book? :)
Also, could anyone check my Rock Attacks, let me know if I did it correctly? Post 10 in my thread ~ https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... ~ Thanks!
Karsyn, your Rock attacks are a thing of beauty!
Reva's numbers are linked to the sub element of that task I think (eg the 5th in the list of the kitchen tasks). That right Reva?
I started out listing my books (just titles) but gave up and have an RPG tote shelf now, taking a book off it when I use it. I don't read as much as Reva, so I don't need her level of tracking (I don't sell books either, which is also where it's helpful to know stuff)

Yes. There will be a quest going up there. I'm trying to c..."
I will probably post a link to the backroom update. (And the LRPG one).
The LRPG ones I was planning on merging back into the main quests area. The backroom ones will stay separate due to content.
There will probably only be one there every 1-2 months so it shouldn't become overwhelming.
