Circa 2013, probably purchased at a Scholastic Book Fair and maybe paperback. The main character is a girl whose mother is a famous author. She has written a book which is loosely based on the daughter, and is being made into a movie. The mother's house is all in white and there is a piano involved. The parents are divorced and the father has a new girlfriend. They have a special cafe they go to together. The girl has a nanny who also has kids. The mom gets called to LA for the movie. The girl gets help with an essay to get into an acting camp. At the camp she gets cast in the play. There's something about a jade bracelet that is stolen and hidden in the floorboards. There's a fire at some point.
