SOLVED. Teen/Children's book series. 2 boys skip class and miss a quiz, teacher gives them a quiz with one question "which tire?"

I remember reading this book series (pretty short stories for kids 8-10 yrs old) around 2007-2010 about 2 boys or maybe a group of boys and I think the series had several books in it with different coloured covers (one was turquoise, one was orange, one was a light green). In one of the stories, the two boys skip class for some reason and they miss a test so when they go back to school at the end they make an excuse that their bike had a flat tire or fell off? So their teacher gives them the quiz they missed and the only question is "which tire?" but they are in separate rooms and don't know which tire to pick. Also, I think the books in this series were unique because they always ended with a certain phrase/saying but I can't remember what it is. I vaguely remember the book cover being upside down? but I'm not 100% sure about that...

Update: I've found it! It's the 'And then it Happened' book series by MSL Wade. A collection of 14 books with mini short stories in it (funny/coming of age).
