Looking for a romance novel I have read but forgot title

I think the author may have been Gentry?? Not sure though and not sure of that spelling. The story was about a reporter who needed a “big story” for her career. She lives in a small town with a big mansion where everyone says there is a “beast” living there. She goes to try to interview him. Turns out he is a wounded war vet who’s face was mangled on one side. He allows the interview but they end up falling in love.
