Soo (silverlyn) | 6898 comments Most of my favs from October were re-reads. Trying to not count those. So, best of out of the new to me books were:

Battle Ground - Read it twice! Great both times!

Driving the Deep - Good sequel but loses points for being a transitional piece.

The Sheep Look Up - Most controversial/antagonistic book of the three. It's on the list because it's one that makes you think. Good for making you super uncomfortable in your own skin & brain.

2. Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow - fantastic middle grade series (even though I'm not really the target audience I'm pretty hooked :-)

3. Road Brothers - enjoyed revisiting the world of the Broken Empire with this collection of short stories.
