SOLVED. Children’s Illustrated Christmas book from 90’s. Multiple origin stories of Santa and/or Mrs Claus. Included a story of a young Mrs Claus being captured/orphaned (?) and having to shave her head and walk through the snow. [s]

Beautifully detailed illustrations. Was a rather large sized book, hard cover. Possibly titled something like The True Story of Santa Claus/Chris Cringle. I seem to remember the cover itself was mostly white with an illustration of Santa’s face. But I may be confusing the cover with a different book and this book whose plot I am thinking of was only about MRS Claus. Targeted to older children, probably c. 10years old.
