Web novel in Goodreads facebook story in my feed. I joined Goodreads because its story popped up my page. There was a web novel about a rich grandmother celebrating here birthday. Her sons, son-in-law and potential son-in-law were giving her expensive gifts mainly jade. However she had a live in son-in-law named Charles which her husband brought home one day and insisted her youngest and prettiest granddaughter marry and she did.
Instead of giving her a gift he asked to borrow $1 million to help pay the medical Bill's of a Mrs Lewis who had uremia and needed a kidney.
Grandmother was shocked but even more so when her granddaughter backed up Charles. So she said she would give him money if the granddaughter divorced Charles and marry someone she chooses. She refused and the grandmother got mad and threatened to throw them all out including the the granddaughter's parents. Charles instead tells her to stay and instead he leaves.
He goes to the hospital to visit Mrs Lewis and finds she has been transferred to the best hospital and her Bill's paid. Then he meets a retainer from his old family. Seem Charles family was extremely rich but he left them because the patriarch was abusing Charles father who died.
Now it seems the patriarch is remorseful and wants him back. Charles refuses so the retainer gives him a credit/debit card with 10 billiom.pn on it as a sign of the Patriarch's good faith no strings.

Then the page inadvertently closes m I can't find it on Goodreads facebook page or on the app. Interesting story probably a translation from Japan or China because of all the references to jade pieces and they were throwing dollar amounts in the millions and billions around.
