Welcome to the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on November 8th and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!
Each day we will be reading by chapters or page numbers. Page numbers are an approximation based on the hardcover or paperback that is the default on Goodreads. The suggested Buddy Read discussion schedule is as follows:

I just finished today's chapters! I forgot how annoying aunt Marge was. Marge getting blown up is always a funny scene to read :D
I'm currently trying out the illustrated edition and I'm enjoying how the pictures and the way the book is designed!

I’m so jealous! I NEED the illustrated editions. As for Aunt Marge, OMG! I thought she was bad enough in the movie but I completely forgot how much worse she was in the books.

I just finished the chapters for today and let me start by saying how much of a drama queen Malfoy is. Love him to death and all that but DANG. My favorite part of today's reading was Lupin's boggart lesson. I don't know why I love it so much but I always have and always will!

And same here! I love how Neville imagined Snape dressed as his grandmother and how angry Snape got when he heard about what happened during class.
I always wondered how Fred and George figured out the exact phrases to activate/deactivate the Maurader's map.

I’ve actually never thought about that! It’s not like there would be a post-it note attached to it giving directions!

I just finished the past five chapters and these chapters are one of my favourites in the book!
-Lee Jordan's comments during the quidditch match are always funny to read!
-I loved how the Maurader's map ended up insulting Snape when he tried to figure it out 😂
-Hermione punching Malfoy is one of my favourite scenes!

It's okay!
I just finished the book! As I was reading the last couple chapters, I realized there's a lot of foreshadowing in this book. When Dumbledore told him one day Wormtail will repay his debt to Harry, I immediately thought of what he did in the Deathly Hallows.

AHHH I'm still behind smh. Exam week has got my brain FRIED. I'll hopefully be finishing it today. :)
