Thanks, Robin! It’s my first time listening to the series.

FYI, season 2 of the Netflix series starts on November 27.

Viki (vikir) | 814 comments Another great list. I see that you have a Mary Higgins Clark book go read and a Sarah Morgan Christmas one. Hope you enjoy when you get to reading them.

Thanks, Viki! The Higgins Clark book is my face-to-face book club read this month so that’s a definite. I will also be listening to the Sarah Morgan book...just because!

message 12: by Christina T (new)

Christina T (crysteena73) | 558 comments So jealous you are able to have a face to face book club. Our local library had monthly community reads before the pandemic but I was never really interested in the books chosen so I never participated and none of my friends read here in the area. It's so weird...you'd think I'd be drawn to likeminded people but not so much LOL.

Christina, years ago when I first moved to NC and didn’t know anyone, I started a book club with women from work. It grew into something really special and we met monthly for ten years until I had to start working in another city. About two years ago, one of my old work friends started another one, which she had every intention of handing over to me and did by just dropping it in my lap😏

It’s an extremely diverse group of women and one of my online friends here moved to the area and has now joined. We’ve met by Zoom since April and are still holding on. I love this group, who most don’t read romance but share a love of general fiction.

Most of my friends don’t read like I do but one of my cousins on our weekly family Zoom call does so we’ve created that connection. I guess love of reading isn’t the dominate trait that connects me with my friends outside of this community, which I think is true for most of us here.

Laura Enjoy your books! I wanted to jump in on Lucy Kincaid but the holds are taking forever. I liked Ignite On Contact, and I hope you get to In A Holidaze. I’m waiting on my library to add it.

Thanks, Laura!

I let Ignite slip through the cracks so I’m definitely listening to it this month. Holidaze isn’t even a question!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 2090 comments Jonetta, I used to belong to two face-to-face reading groups; both have disbanded. One fell apart a couple years ago, and the other because of the pandemic (no one wanted to use or learn Zoom). I miss them.

Sharon, I miss our being able to meet in person. We had a wonderful meeting place and it was on Friday mornings. It’s not the same but I’m holding on tightly. I know how you’re feeling.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 2090 comments I loved In A Holidaze too. I received the Arc a month or so ago and finished it in a day. I'm a fan of holiday books. It sounds like the audio is well done.

It took me a little more than a day (life showing up) but I loved getting back to it. I’ve got quite a few holiday books lined up, really good ones!

I read this years ago and loved it. Like you I started reading her books when I was young. I'm not sure why I stopped except there are too many books and not enough time.

Sharon, I just recall graduating to other levels of mystery. My memories of her books are good ones and I was pleasantly surprised that this debut was so good.

Viki, I have a lot of her newer books co-written with Alafair Burke, which I plan to listen to sometime in the future. I doubt I'll read any of her older stuff.
