These teens are chosen and trained by a family member who’s training has been passed down for generations. It’s a multiple POV book. There’s a scene when all the players are sitting in a circle in a forest waiting for the game to begin & sizing each other up. They all know languages, computer hacking, how to make themselves untraceable etc. One POV started with an explosion (?) at a graduation ceremony. I think the two American players met each other and then realized at a later date that they’d be playing against each other. Only one player is supposed to “win” everyone else should die.
