One of Us Is Lying question

I knew that it had something to do with suicided from the start.

I wasn't shocked when it came out that Simon committed suicide because i already anticipated. But Jake's concealed character shocked me.

I knew who it was very early on but I still loved the book.

i found out shortly before they said it so it wasnt really surprising, also its a book, so this was kind of expected butt i firstly thought it was that one boy ehhh what was his name again nate? yk bronwins guy? jake? yea but i suspected all of them at a point

I immediately thought of Simon, but Jake caught me by surprise. Looking back, I probably should have known the minute it turned out they used to be friends.

I didn't guess either! I was so focussed on guessing who it was from the main characters I didn't even think about it being a planned suicide! Great book.

I was surprised when they announced that it was Simon who had done it. Throughout the whole book I was trying to figure out who it was. I knew it couldn't have been Nate, as he seemed like the perfect example of someone who could easily be framed, but I had no idea who (of the three left over) could have done it. Towards the end I was getting slightly suspicious of Addy, but I guessed wrong. Great book!

I guess I sort of misunderstood since I thought that since it was from the perspectives of the main characters and they were all talking about how they didn't know who did it and were all freaked out I never suspected any of them. Didn't guess that Simon did it though.

The ending was kinda flop and I read it twice to make sure I wasn't tripping, but by the half way mark I was sure none of the 4 main characters killed Simon and was immediately ruling it as a suicide until the killer was revealed, other than that the book was so good 11/10.

When I read the half of the book, I was sure none of the four students have killed Simon but I guessed it a chapter before about the suicide.

I suspected it as soon as simon asked for water and the teacher said No then he drank from a cup. When the water bottle message came out I was sure that it was suicide

Okay so I feel really bad about this but anyway, so I was lead to believe that it was one the four so I was very upset when I was trying to figure out who it could of been. I decided that It was cooper because he didn't get as much POV time as the others but later on I decided I didn't like the idea and I started to blame Jake and the guy Addy cheated on him with but I never thought it would be a suicide. I liked the plot twist but I now feel bad for blaming Cooper for a bit throughout the starting area of the book

a little after the middle of the book i thought to myself "if it was simon who killed himself, im gonna be so mad bc that is so predictable" ...then i got so mad at the end bc i was hoping there would be something, even crumbs, on the last page that would hint that he really didn't kill himself and there's this whole other plot to it but there wasn't and so that sorta ruined the book for me and i felt disappointed and underwhelmed.

Okay honestly I thought it was Addy and then I thought it was Bronwyn and then I thought it was Nate and then I thought it was Cooper and then I thought it was Nate and then I thought it was Bronwyn and then....

When I looked at the Bayview Four, I thought it was Bronwyn because she might be smart enough to commit a murder. When i was actually reading though, I didn’t really try guessing and making theories :)

I actually did! Thought about it the whole time, was very proud when I was right.

No lol. I see all these people say they already knew who it was by the end of the book and I question if I'm dumb or they're all smart.

Not even close. First, I thought it was Addy. After I realized it was not her, I just stop guessing (there was a moment that I thought it was the teacher)

I thought that no one in the classroom was the killer! I thought it was the teacher, but the farther I got into the book the more I suspected it!
So in conclusion I thought I was kinda close.

Here's the thing: I literally didn't know who to suspect. Originally, I had suspected Addy, because she seemed like the one with the most motive in my opinion, though there was no reasoning for it at all (I think it stemmed from my hatred of Addy's character at the beginning of the book). But out of everything, suicide wasn't something I had considered at ALL, nor did I expect Jake's part in the plan either.

i was thinking like that in the beginning but then i was like nah... there's no way.


so in the end i was like OH MY FREAKING GOD AND THE FREAKING BOYFREIND TOO CURSE IT ALL

i honestly didnt know but i did have a feeling it was him, cant wait to see the tv series

si siempre lo sospeche la verdad , pero lo que no me esperaba fue en la forma que lo hizo y quienes lo ayudaron

I honestly thought the ending was a little disappointing. I didn’t really want any of them to be a murderer, but at the same time, I wish he hadn’t just committed suicide and one of them had been plotting against the others the whole time or something. THat being said, it was a very good book.

I was so disappointed by the ending I guessed it was suicide within the first few chapters but I thought it would be too much of a predictable ending but it turned out it was and I was extremely disappointed I was hoping for a huge plot twist to me it was just very obvious and disappointing so I cant even bring myself to read the sequel

I actually did.

I have a thought that Simon is suiciding, but the explaination of how Simon tricks work is make me crazy
