The hardcover was green and black and I believe was released in the mid 2000s. I think I may have read an ARC from the bookstore I worked at then, so maybe 2007, 2008? I think the title of the book ended up becoming the name of the detective agency.

Allison, can you tell us more about the main characters and plot/crimes? Who does he work for?

What is the story's time period and location?

I can remember the detective being a bit homely, and I think he was an accountant? The time period maybe was the mid sixties, but even that might be wrong. And I'm pretty sure the location was a city but I can't remember which one.
