Books that come to mind:
The Illegal
Seraphina

Susan | 851 comments Another idea for this square is any of Margaret Laurence's books set in Manawaka, since it's a town she invented.

Works by Giles Blunt (Algonquin Bay), L.M. Montgomery (Avonlea), and Stephen Leacock (Mariposa) also fit.

Susan | 851 comments No, that’s a fictional town as well!
