Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon

I didn't do well in the April Readathon but at least reached my goal of 2 books in the reverse Readathon in August.

I'm not going to put a number on my read books this time but I hope to read for about 10 hours Saturday and 5-6 hours on Sunday. (my timezone is 2pm to 2pm (1pm as the clocks go back during the night)

This whole year has been a reading slump for me so I hope this will kick off my reading again.

Jane | 1438 comments I really want to finish my current read that I have been going to and from all month. Then I picked up 3 books at the library yesterday which was just on the English language shelf (I'm in Denmark), I'm not sure about these 3 as I just picked them up because they were there!
Apart from those 3 and a Harry Potter illustrated book, my books will be Kindle books.

List of books:
The Tanglewood Tea Shop (Tanglewood Village #1) by Lilac Mills The Tanglewood Tea Shop by Lilac Mills (this I really want to finish)

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling (read before)

Ferryman by Claire McFall Ferryman by Claire McFall (Library)

The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes (Library)

Strange Weather by Joe Hill Strange Weather by Joe Hill (Library)

That's what I have ready but I also have a few cosy books on my Kindle unlimited and I'll most likely read them before my library books

Jane | 1438 comments Opening Survey!

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I'm reading from Denmark

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
I haven't prepared well so there is no special books in my stack

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
There are crisps and sweets but also grapes for my snacks.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
Geocaching is my main interest at the moment. But also canoing though I haven't been out more than once this summer.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I've taken part in quite a few read-a-thons but not done so well in the last few (didn't read anything in April even though I had signed up!). So I just hope to get a lot of reading done.

Jane | 1438 comments After 2hours and 10 minutes I finished

The Tanglewood Tea Shop (Tanglewood Village #1) by Lilac Mills The Tanglewood Tea Shop by Lilac Mills (the last 160 pages read today)

I started reading this in September but had only read about 40% (110 pages) before today, I just couldn't get into it.
It did pick up and get better that the slow start but I didn't enjoy it that much.
Only ★★ from me and it is very rare that I do that.

Jane | 1438 comments Closing Survey

How would you assess your reading overall?
I didn't read as many hours as intended but overall I did well.

Did you have a stategy, and if so, did you stick to it?
No, and I think I need to be better prepared next time.

What was your favorite snack?
My snacks were okay but nothing stood out.

Wanna volunteer for our next event? Stay tuned for the recap post!
No thank you. I enjoy just reading :-)
