I believe the main character’s name is allie but I could be wrong. She was found singing in a mall food court, and they choose her for an elite private school and she becomes friends with a group of girls. Later in the book they find out that they brought in the wrong girl and her spot was actually supposed to be filled by a famous singer who they then accept into the school and the main character has to prove she belongs there.
