Tobiume | 11 comments I think this book was part of a series, but the series may have been loosely connected (about the same characters rather than a dedicated set of volumes). Other books in the series, if I remember correctly, were about the boys more than her.

It was children's fiction, probably for upper elementary (4th-6th grade) readers. I read it in the 90s, though it may have been published in the 80s.

The main character (I vaguely thought her name was Juliet but searching for a book about a stuck-up girl named Juliet didn't yield any results) starts the book without any friends. She's a good student and lives in a nice house. She likes doing things precisely and seems bossy and stuck up to others. Over the course of the book (maybe thrown together for a school project) she gets to know two boys, possibly from the neighborhood, who are completely different to her in every way. I remember some specific details, like her drinking soup out of a thermos and remembering a visit to Canyon de Chelly, but of course you can't find a book by that.

I think the title of the book had her name in it and she possibly had an initial (my mind keeps throwing Junie B Jones at me though that's absolutely not it).

"Canyon de Chelly" and "thermos" were actually really good clues. I found the book by searching archive.org for those words.
