Hey, folks! How are you doing?
Time for our nominations!

Can you think of a theme for our November group reading?
If not, you may just pick a work by an author whose month of birth was November - here you'll find a spreadsheet I compiled last month, together with a reference to further info.
Or, if you prefer, you can just suggest a work you'd like to read (from the 1 000 Books to Read), unrelated to a particular theme and not matching the above mentioned criterion.

Waiting for your replies!

Carlton | 93 comments I wouldn’t place too much weight upon my suggestion, as I haven’t managed to finish either of the monthly reads (Nabokov and Allende) that I have tried so far, but I would suggest Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse Five, as a November birthday.
And thanks for the spreadsheet and your continuing enthusiasm.

Jane Huttner | 157 comments I've already read Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut so I'm going to recommend The Birthday Boys by Bainbridge or The Drowned World by Ballard.

I nominate Einstein's Dreams by Alan Lightman, 144 pages, and birthday in November.

Bryan--The Bee’s Knees (theindefatigablebertmcguinn) | 141 comments Does anyone know where I can view a list of all the books? I used to look through the list challenge site, but that one was taken down.

Or here, with a short description of each book.

@Carlton,
any recommendation is welcome! 😊
And...
And thanks for the spreadsheet and your continuing enthusiasm.
...thank you all for keeping this group active and alive!
So the nominations we have so far are:
Slaughterhouse-Five by Vonnegut, The Birthday Boys by Bainbridge, The Drowned World by Ballard and Lightman's Einstein's Dreams.

I'd vote for Ishiguro's The Remains of the Day.

Bryan--The Bee’s Knees (theindefatigablebertmcguinn) | 141 comments I pick Rogue Male by Geoffrey Household
