9. We finally learn what Trent is. Surprised or was this one of your guesses? Has your opinion of him changed in light of some of the things he clarified?

So I'm guessing that Trent is not the short, kind and helpful "Elves and the Shoemaker" type of elf, but rather the tall, powerful and haughty "Lord of the Rings" type.

Of all the possibilities, I didn't think of an elf. I was thinking some sort of genetically engineered human/witch hybrid *shrug*

Nope. My opinion of him hasn't changed. While I was a little repulsed by his actions in book #1, he intrigued me then and still does.

I wonder why he fears Rachel - its more than just her knowledge of what he is.

Are Jonathan, Quen and Trent the only Elves left? Why are they keeping their existence secret? Why did Jonathan want to kill her outright when they discovered the extent of her ley line abilities (other than the fact that he's a jerk)?

Lots of questions.
