Angelique | 1 comments All the plot that I remember is that this boy was living in a "black and white" universe (what he called boring), and he basically ran away looking for something fun to do when he came across their barrier, and upon opening the door to this barrier, he stepped into his prefered universe, where there was amazing food, and everything was colorful. Something about "Holiday" being the town name? But after a while, he noticed some strange things, and the children kept disappearing (or "dying"?), and he fought this monster type thing in order to save everyone. I read this book when I was in 5th grade, so about maybe 2015.

Angelique, that's a good start, but we need more information in the header at the top of the page. Many members only read the headers. We have thousands of book requests.

Copy the genre (e.g., fantasy) and more plot details from your message #1 to the header by clicking the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website - not the Mobile website or app. (On the Mobile website, there's a "Desktop version" link at the bottom of the page.)

Rainbowheart's suggestion of The Thief of Always by Clive Barker sounds like your book.

Here's a detailed plot description (with Spoilers) on Wikipedia:
"Harvey Swick is a 11-year-old boy bored with school, teachers, homework, and his day-to-day life. | ... a kid's paradise called the Holiday House. At the Holiday House, there are all the sweets a person could ask for, four seasons in a day, Halloween every evening, Christmas, with whatever gifts you could wish for every night, and everything else you could dream of." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thi...
