Here are a few ways that help self-published authors get notice...

1. Leave reviews on Amazon
2. Equally important - Leave review on Goodreads
3. When you are talking about the book/author use the add book/author option above and on the write of the chat box.
4. Recommend the book. Not just by word of mouth, but on a books goodreads page, on the top right, it says recommend. Click it, and then select the friends you want to recommend the book to. It takes a while, but that, I find, is the best way to get a book noticed.
5. Vote for books in Listopia, and if the book isn't already in a list, add it to appropriate lists. As many as you can. For example: I added The White Prince & The Way books to several by searching for self-published lists. Now you can do the same, and vote for them. The more votes they get, the higher they are ranked, and the more visibility they get.
6. Share your reviews on social media, especially Instagram.
6.5. Use hashtags on Instagram, the best one is #bookstagram. When you use a tag, even people that aren't following you will see the post.
7. Follow the author on all platforms, Instagram, Facebook, Amazon,, and Goodreads. (most people don't realize you can follow an author on amazon, but you can, and it helps)
8. Join groups, and share your favorite SP reads in those groups.
9. Invite your friends to join our group. The bigger our group gets, the more people will read our SP monthly/quarterly reads.

I hope this helps, and I hope you'll set a goal to do at least a few of these every time you read an SP book. Authors, if I've missed anything, feel free to add to my suggestions!

Happy Reading!

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) Great tips, Abby. Authors everywhere thank you, I'm sure. I might add, "buy their books" for the authors that you want to support.

Thank you Crystal. I'm so glad I started this group, and have been overwhelmed with the response, and how quickly it has grown. I'd love nothing more than for us to have hundreds of members we can expose our favorite SP authors to.

Hey everyone, I know we’re all busy and reading a lot right now but if anyone is interested, I have a free book promo for my book “Missing Person” until the 23rd. It’s a thriller centering around a potential child abduction. Again, if anyone is interested!

Hey - great information that I think would flow better in the SP authors folder. Do you mind copy and pasting it there instead. Thank you.
