ABANDONED. Children - Astronaut goes to a candy planet where no one brushes teeth

I picked up this book about 25-30 years ago early 90's.
I'm 99% sure it was translated from English.

Plot in general from what I remember: on earth poeple hear loud noises/screaming from space they track it to a planet and send a ship with astronuat (I think a woman, maybe a dentist) to the planet to investigate, when the reach the planet they find that it's made entirely from candy and sweets, and the poeple there never heard of brushing teeth and their teeth are full of holes and they all have massive toothache. They then procceed to fix they cavities and to teach them about brushing teeth.
