Did anyone else have a hard time getting into this book??? I an struggling here. I think I am on page 29.

Keep going. It is well worth it. I enjoyed this much better than the Twilight books. The only way you will enjoy it though is to put aside your thoughts that you want another Bella and Edward story. It is more adult than that, but the writing style and storytelling is very similar.
Thanks Tami. I am getting into it a bit more. On page 90. I'd like to finish it- as I really hate giving up on a book.
the beginning is a little hard, its not like the rest of the book though. the beginning is just needed to explain the host/alien thing. after that, its not so Sci-fi. Keep going, it gets really good.
I can't wait for the next book to come out. This book was good.
The beginning is alittle hard to get through. You will find it was worth it. This book was amazing! I actually cried which isn't something i do alot.
I almost cried. But I kept it together. I thought it was sad that Wanda was going to leave them,but the ending was great!

I agree the beginning is a little hard to get into, but when you do WHAT A READ!!!! It's fantastic.

Glad to see that I wasn't the only one having a tough time getting through the beginning :) But yep, I agree with everyone. Keep going, it'll get SO much better. I enjoyed this one a lot!
This book was okay. I just couldn't empathize with the whole soul thing. I really tried to picture the aliens as real souls, but at the end of the day Wanda was a worm and he falls in love with her. Bleh! I kept thinking of Men in Black and that little alien inside the guy's head.
in my opinion the book gets really good when she finally gets to the desert and is found.
Cant wait for the second book to come out :)

You're very welcome, I was pleased to find it. Maybe when the excitement over Twilight movies etc dies down (if ever) Stephenie will get on with Host sequels.... There is supposed to be a Host movie coming too.
Ooooh...when I was reading it, I imagined it in my mind so vividly and I was totally thinking that it was def movie material; such a great story I think!
