R Stephens | 1 comments Read within a book in 2000, as part of an English Literature course.
Due to it having been studied. It should be well known.

Memory of it is hazy. It is in the form of a letter or poem, whereby the things that lovers profess to each other are held to ransom.
Such as, "I'd rather die than live without you."

Characters -
The man in the story has died. It's written from the angle that he has returned from the afterlife for her. She gets into a (horsedrawn?) cab and he is behind the reins, to take her to the afterlife.

"You said that you would love me forever."
