Love the duckings! I finished my second book. I'll report it tomorrow from my computer. I'm now in the app and can't use links.
Great work team! We still have more than 2 days!
TJ, I finished my second book: Cheat River ThreeTask in the spreed sheet: new author (K 20) - The spreed sheet says The Color of Magic, but I changed my book.
Note: There's another The Color of Magic very near in the spreed sheet (J 18) but this is Paakhi's.
I finished Lock In for Star Trek couple - Read Sci-fi. (This was originally supposed to be Dust but I changed my mind)
Hey Team, I was able to download a copy of the spreadsheet to Excel. I'm tracking our progress that way for now.
Thanks, TJ, for making this Toppler easier for Gail and for the rest of team C!I'm now reading my 5th book, which I will probably finish tomorrow. Too bad I have to work on Saturday, otherwise I might have read one more... Well, 5 is really not bad for me, so I'm good with that!
Happy reading these last 2 days, everyone!
And don't worry: if you can't finish a book on time, so be it. We did/are doing great, no matter what!
Love those ducklings! :)
I shared the spreadsheet so now anyone with access to this link should be able to view it...https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Finished We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves 33, D: Mickey and Minnie Mouse: Read a book with an animal as a main characterThanks a million, TJ! : )

I just finished my 5th book! Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.It can be used for:
18 - part of a series
19 - some kind of weapon (some sort of silver dagger is used)
20 - new author
28 - YA
34 - royal character (Lissa is a Moroi princess)
46 - vampires (I noticed we haven't got this one, yet - no bonus...)
49 - forbidden love
51 - human - vampire interaction (I noticed we haven't got this one, yet - no bonus...)
I've started part 2 of this series. I'm not sure if I will be able to finish it before the Toppler ends, but I'll try!
I am sorry, wasn't able to check in the whole week! I was super busy, but i finished The Lighthouse at the End of the WorldHopefully I'll finish my second book this night and start my third.
Everyone has read so much, thats great!
Berit wrote: "Finished The Good Husband on Zebra Drive, for Africa"Ah, how did you like it? Have you read the others of the series?
Great job, everybody. I actually typed "y'all" then changed it to "everybody." I say y'all a lot, but feel self-conscious about it because it's so stereotypically Texan. I've got the spreadsheet updated to here. I put Vampire Academy in the vampire slot, Elsbeth.
I'm impressed with all the reading that we've done this week!!
finished:38, D: Will Arnett and Amy Poehler: a humorous book: But Mama Always Put Vodka in Her Sangria!: Adventures in Eating, Drinking, and Making Merry by Julia Reed
45, D: Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark: a dystopian novel: Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry
43, D: Lois Lane and Superman: a biography: Darwin, His Daughter, and Human Evolution by Randal Keynes
27, D: Royce or Hadrian and Janice: nonfiction: Howards End Is on the Landing: A Year of Reading from Home by Susan Hill
18, D: Collecting comic books: book that is part of a series: Sidetracked by Henning Mankell
Finished I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban for the "head/face in the cover" task, K3
Finished Never Let Me Go for Book with eyes (not sure if Gail is checking in her initial choice so just in case she isn't well enough)
Yoohoo, I have a new Toppler-record! I finished my 6th book, last night! It is: Frostbite by Richelle Mead, which is part 2 of the Vampire Academic series. So it can be used by about the same things as my former book:18 - part of a series
19 - some kind of weapon (some sort of silver dagger is used)
28 - YA
34 - royal character (Lissa is a Moroi princess)(I noticed we haven't got this one, yet - no bonus...)
46 - vampires
49 - forbidden love
51 - human - vampire interaction (I noticed we haven't got this one, yet - no bonus...)
Updated spreadsheet from msg 175 to 185.Elsbeth and Berit, I entered yours in the first open option that worked:
Frostbite - 34, E, royal character
Truth About Alice - 28, C, YA
We Were Liars - 50, C, tearjerker
Finished The Maze Runner a few hours ago. Sorry, I wasn't really able to read much during the week and was to busy looking into the thread. But everyone else really did great!
Great job team, look at us reading until the very bitter end :-) thanks again for being such a great team, it was a fun week :-)
I agree Berit. We did a good job. It was great week, i did a lot of serious reading and will now read a dystopia or YA to relax!
Don't worry about that, Tanita! Sometimes you read a lot and sometimes it just is not to be. ;)I agree, Berit, we are a wonderful team! I loved chatting with you all!
And thank you, Gail and Tejas Janet for keeping track of our reads! You both did a wonderful job!
Paakhi wrote: "I agree Berit. We did a good job. It was great week, i did a lot of serious reading and will now read a dystopia or YA to relax!"Lol, that is what I read during this week, Paakhi! I'm now of to some more serious books (2 of them I was already reading the week before the Toppler: The Crimson Petal and the White and Pride and Prejudice). ;)

Hey Elsbeth..I can feel the after effects of toppler..its rather confusing I don't want to pick up any book and yet I feel really empty like I need a book..LOL
I have read Pride and Prejudice and liked it much! Did you enjoy it? I have never heard about Crimson Petal and the White..hope it was great too. I shall add it to my tbr right away..
Tanita wrote: "Finished The Maze Runner a few hours ago. Sorry, I wasn't really able to read much during the week and was to busy looking into the thread. But everyone else really did great!"Cool - I'll go update table : )
I feel the same way, to read or not to read that is the question :-) I have a lot of pod casts to catch up on, so I'll be doing that today I think. They all say need attention!

I know the feeling, Paakhi! I had that very much after our October Toppler. This morning I also didn't feel like picking up a book. The 2 books I mentioned (P & P and CP & the W), I'm still reading. I like them both, a lot! I had bought The Crimson Petal and the White a few years ago from the library, for just 1 euro, but never got around to reading it (it has 955 pages). I'm glad I picked it up, now! Totally different from P & P!
Elsbeth wrote: "Yoohoo, I have a new Toppler-record! I finished my 6th book..."I seem to be missing one for you. I have 5 highlighted as completed. Need to find what's missing.
Everyone please check that your books are correct.

955 pages!!! OMG that's intimidating.. :P I read its blurb though, it sounds very interesting. And you got it just for 1 euro! Now, that's what I call a good haul :). In India, the international book fair has started today, I am planning to go, hopefully I will buy some great books at cheap rates :)
Tejas Janet wrote: "Elsbeth wrote: "Yoohoo, I have a new Toppler-record! I finished my 6th book..."I seem to be missing one for you. I have 5 highlighted as completed. Need to find what's missing..."
Ah ha, it was Frostbite. It wasn't highlighted. Fixing that and adding 10 more pts.
I know I wrote this in the other thread, but yes I read 10 books. Not sure which one I was leaving out in my head but really doesn't matter :-)
