Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments There's a lot to digest in that lengthy list of lovers.

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments This is kind of what my mind must look like at the moment:

I'm leaving on Friday morning to drive to my parents' for the weekend. I have errands to run tonight, dinner out on Thursday, and then I'm on the road. I'm busy trying to organize all the things I have to do - like loading the audiobooks onto my iPhone that I want to listen to while on the road. I need a mix of regular reads and Toppler reads. Plus, I must remember to pack my paperback for the Toppler read as well.

Things to do, places to go, people to see....

message 253: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments Ha! I was just reading this over, and I realized that organizing my toppler reads while on my weekend away is more important than filling the car, picking up the things my dad requested from Costco, washing clothes, etc. LOL! You know what my priorities are.

message 254: by KimeyDiann (new)

KimeyDiann | 2174 comments Those are perfectly logical priorities in my opinion, Janice!

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I agree!

Totally agree! ;)

message 258: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I may not be going because we're expecting a storm to blow in tomorrow with lots of snow. It's moving in the same direction, so it could be storming while I'm driving. I'll wait till Friday morning to decide.

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Yikes. Make sure you stay safe Janice! Sounds like you are, but still.

message 260: by KimeyDiann (new)

KimeyDiann | 2174 comments I'm having a really hard time deciding what I want to read for the toppler! I am not allowing myself to "buy" any more books right now so it has to be something I already have or something available on Kindle Unlimited. That leaves me with LOTS of choices, but I just can't seem to decide!

Does anyone have any recommendations for Kindle Unlimited books with narration? If I can pick my audiobook, a written book will be easier to choose... I think.

message 261: by Rusalka, Moderator (new)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Roughly 36 hours to go!! Yay!!

message 262: by Rusalka, Moderator (new)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments So. I will read Mahu Surfer for my island book.

I have:
Delirium
Witch Week
Hide and Seek
Crocodile on the Sandbank
Magic Bites
Moon Called
Succubus Blues
Blameless
ready to go. Plus everything else on my shelves as well if we get any hints on what we need.

message 263: by Liz (new)

Liz (lizvegas) | 504 comments I have six books ready to go! (Just in case!)

message 264: by Rusalka, Moderator (new)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Better to have too many! I'm not going to read all of those, but I have no idea what my mood will be, so better to have many options. And they are just the easy reading ones I can think of off the top of my head.

message 265: by Liz (new)

Liz (lizvegas) | 504 comments Same with me.
I have these delusional plans of grandeur to read a book a day. Lol

I agree! I have several options for each category I'm thinking of reading.

Janice (jamasc) | 59894 comments I'll stock up on groceries tomorrow and I'll be set to start reading Saturday morning.

Janice - That sounds like a good plan.

message 271: by Peggy (new)

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments I'm going for Two Old Fools In Spain Again first, and if I have time for another, either Dragondrums or Can't Wait to Get to Heaven. All are short books, but I have only Sunday until Wednesday to read (and maybe the last Saturday, toppler ends here at 6 pm).

All books would fit several categories, should I list them all?

message 272: by Rusalka, Moderator (new)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments I should check my spreadsheet again. I've forgotten it!

I think besides the ones we have allocated, we can be fluid. I I think report on what you read/are reading and what task you are reading it for (you choose). We can always move things around as the tasks are so fluid.

I was thinking about it. Do you reckon the bonus task could be completing the tasks with people from YLTO in them? Like the Janice, Connie, Debra and Almeta one?

I know I know I said don't guess. I was just pondering.

message 273: by Peggy (new)

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments But only one team would get bonus points, right? Completing those tasks could be something that happens in every group.

message 274: by Rusalka, Moderator (new)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments You and your logic.

...

Good point.

message 275: by Lisa (last edited Feb 06, 2015 03:54AM) (new)

Lisa (lisathebooklover) | 9244 comments My books are all set and ready to go. I think I am going to start with Toby's Room.

As far as the extra points go, I reckon they will be given to the individual who reads the most books overall during the week. Their team will get the 25 points. Probably will end up being completely wrong on that front though. I usually am! :)

message 280: by KimeyDiann (new)

KimeyDiann | 2174 comments I'm going to listen to The Enchanted Castle by E. Nesbit for the Robin Hood and Maid Marian (Read a fantasy) category.

I'll pick the book I'm going to physically read tomorrow, I have so many choices I just can't decide yet!

I tried to get my cat to make me a cup of coffee this morning but she refused. She's sulking under the bed because I dared to treat her like a servant.

It's hard to resist speculating.

I never did quite figure out how j'mom came up with non-fiction for Royce and Hadrian... except that perhaps I wish they were real and not fictional characters.

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Right!

Reporting thread is here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Let us know what you are thinking and reading in here. But when you FINISH a book, head over to that thread and let us know what you read and what task it fits. If it fits a few, choose one. We can always move around if we wish.

So those of you who have bonus task point assigned, go for broke. If not, read whatever you wish and let us know what you're doing and where it fits in!

YAY! GO DIVAS!
