Hi, you guys! I’m uber excited to be discussion leader for An Discovery of Witches’.Anyone who is participating in reading this book feel free to share any thoughts on the book cover, author and expectations you have for this book. Also what are your thoughts on the paranormal/fantasy genre?

I read this book like a while ago, but I still remember how good it was. I read it one day, because I couldn't stop reading. The author used witches and vampires more in an ordinary way, less Twilight, and more like The Da Vinci code way, which I loved.Great story, characters, development and an amazing 500 page adventure.
The only sad thing is that publishing house only translated the first part of the trilogy in my language, so I never got to finish the story. But, I will buy english version one day and finish it.
I really loved the atmosphere of this book!Even though I found the plot chaotic at times (didn't know where it was going at all), there was always an aura of mystery around events and about the characters - and it feels like magic is everywhere, underneath the characters' perceptions.
Has anyone seen the show?
I have not seen the show yet. Would anyone want to watch it and compare it to the book for this BOTM discussion? That could be fun. Let me know if anyone is interested.
