ABANDONED. Book with a kid in a wheelchair gets his mind put in a robot

all i can remember is that this kid cant walk (he's in a wheelchair) and he gets his mind gets put into a robot (i'm not sure if it was his dad that invented this thing or some business person did) either case, he does go through with it and later he gets put with three other kids that did the same things, and i guess one thing leads to another now they have to fight this AI (which i think likes or just knows the main character)

i read this book probably 5 years ago, im not sure what year it came out

i also remember that it has like either 3 or 4 squeals, and the latest one has a purple cover

i believe that he did have a illness that made him not able to walk
