Book with both hero and heroine being single parents

Really dont know much but I think the heroine is a damsel in distress with newborn or an infant seeking shelter and knocks the door of the cabin where the hero lives. The hero himself has children( I believe it was more than one, not sure). But I do remember that the heroine was once breastfeeding her child when she starts breastfeeding one of the heros child as well and realizes it mid-feeding and then apologizes to the hero.
Any book close to that will be welcomed. Thanks

What is the hero's job? What happened to their spouses/partners?

Probably more on the adult contemporary side than historical, really dont remember much.
The hero was a bit standoffish to the heroine initially so there is that.
