Trike | 8768 comments For a couple years I’ve been thinking about doing a thread for last lines in novels as a counterpart to the Great First Lines thread, but I was unsure because of the inherently spoilery nature of such an endeavor.

But just now I stumbled across this article in Wired which takes 137 last lines of books and strings them together into a cohesive narrative. It is brilliant. One of those, “I wish I’d thought of that!” occurrences.

I like the annotated version best: https://www.wired.com/story/loose-end...

Here is the supercut without footnotes: https://www.wired.com/story/loose-end...

Trike | 8768 comments I’d love to hear this read on the podcast, with Veronica doing the lines and Tom hitting the book titles as interjections. Just like the first dozen or so. Maybe stop at The Ship Who Searched line.

You know you want to. My birthday is coming up in just, uh, 6 short months.

I think this needs to be done with last lines from S+L picks.
