Yes Helen, I've received about 10 so far - I'm just deleting them as they come in. But I also just realised the notifications aren't quite on track yet. I've missed a few from about 2 hours ago :( Including this one!


Turned out my email address (once again) became suddenly 'unverified.' I have now reverified it. This seems to happen about every two years.
I remember you saying that some time back - I wonder what causes it to happen? Strange - and annoying!

New problem as of this morning.
If you put any html code in your message (this includes hitting the reply button) then your message will not go through.
Temporary solution is to type your message without html - post it - edit it - add the html.

Jonetta put me on to it. If your messages are not posting it's good to know the reason why! Must have taken her a while to sort out when it first started happening.

I've signed out and in again, turned the laptop on and off again, etc, but no luck. I like to acknowledge and thank anyone who's bothered to say something, but I can't. Or maybe it's that I'm replying which includes part of the person's comment and that's got HTML in it. Hmmm.

It is annoying! And I do hope it's not the beginning of another of their glitches! Good luck with the quick return to current notifications Janelle :)

Me too - I think it's been like it for at least about 3 days now...? I'm pretty sure I checked "unread" topics in my groups on Friday and found there were unread messages in some threads that I'm subscribed to and that I'd received no notifications for! If I'm on the desktop, I just click on the "community" tab, and discussions, and then can see threads with recent comments in my various groups. In the app it's a bit more of a hassle since I have to go into each group individually!
For those who aren't getting email notifications (I'm one) I just found this in the Help section. Not sure why it's only affecting some and not others though...
1) Members not receiving Goodreads email notifications about new comments. We have temporarily disabled comment notifications from Goodreads emails because we detected a suspicious pattern of comment activity from some accounts. Yes, I just realised that I hadn't had any emails, so checked my email address, which was (miracle of all miracles) still verified...and then came here to see if there was any info.

Well, at least that means it's not my computer or my issue alone! Now to get GR to fix this problem! .................

There's nowhere on help that's talking about this - the last was the explanation of turning the notifications off and they would 'let us know when it was fixed'. So not sure what to do now!! Wait and hope I guess!!
